Fuel prices unchanged for June 11 to 17

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 Jun — Retail prices for RON97, RON95, and diesel remain unchanged for the period from tomorrow to Wednesday (June 17).

The Finance Ministry (MOF) said the retail price of RON97 will remain at RM4.35 per litre, while RON95 and diesel in the Peninsula will remain at RM3.72 and RM4.6 per litre, respectively.

The fuel prices were maintained in line with the previous week’s average global market prices under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism formula.

For subsidised fuel, RON95 under the BUDI95 programme will remain at RM1.99 per litre for more than 14 million eligible recipients, while diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan will stay at RM2.15 per litre.

The MADANI government will also continue to maintain subsidised fuel prices for eligible groups and sectors, with BUDI95's RON95 fixed at RM1.99 per litre and diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan at RM2.15 per litre.

Meanwhile, the petrol price under the Subsidised Petrol Control System will remain at RM2.05 per litre, while diesel under the Subsidised Diesel Control System will stay at RM2.15 per litre.

It noted that consuming 200 litres of RON95 at the unsubsidised rate of RM3.72 per litre would cost RM744, but BUDI95 recipients pay only RM398 for the same amount at the subsidised rate of RM1.99 per litre, resulting in savings of about RM346 a month.

“Diesel at the unsubsidised rate of RM4.67 per litre is more than twice the subsidised price of RM2.15 per litre, helping to ease transportation and logistics costs for public transport operators and consumer goods,” the MOF said in a statement today.

Malaysia’s fuel supply remains stable and sufficient to meet current planning requirements, while the MADANI government continues to strengthen long-term supply security and targeted subsidy measures despite ongoing global supply challenges.

The government also encouraged more efficient fuel use through better travel planning and reduced waste as part of efforts to strengthen national resilience to global uncertainties.
