SHAH ALAM, June 10 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council’s (MPAJ) Building and Architecture Department demolished a storage structure illegally built on the shoulder of Jalan Embun in Kampung Kuala Ampang yesterday morning.
In a Facebook post last night, the local authority said the action was taken following routine monitoring of unauthorised structures that encroach on public spaces and compromise area safety.
“The objective of the operation was to ensure compliance with local authority rules and regulations, while preserving the function of road reserves and safeguarding the safety and comfort of residents,” it said.
MPAJ added that it will keep up periodic monitoring and enforcement to ensure development in its administrative area remains orderly and complies with established provisions.
