KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rains, and strong winds in five states and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan until 12am.
The bad weather is expected to affect the entire Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, as well as several districts in Pahang (Raub, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin).
In Selangor, the warning was also issued in Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, and Hulu Langat, while in Johor, the affected areas are Batu Pahat and Pontian.
For Sabah, the same weather is forecast for the Interior (Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau, and Tambunan), the West Coast (Ranau), Tawau (Lahad Datu), and Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid, and Kinabatangan).
Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the affected areas are Serian, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit), Bintulu (Bintulu and Sebauh), Miri and Limbang.
