AMPANG JAYA, June 2 — Rumah Rehat Seri Berkat in Kuala Kubu Bharu is set to resume operations in the near future following upgrading works to offer camping and glamping experiences to tourists.
Tourism Selangor chief executive officer Chua Yee Ling said the location, situated near Fraser’s Hill, is expected to become one of Selangor’s new tourism destinations.
She said Tourism Selangor is currently making final preparations before the site is opened to the public.
“Tourism Selangor currently manages Rumah Rehat Seri Berkat in Kuala Kubu Bharu, Hulu Selangor, location near Fraser’s Hill, on the border with Pahang.
“We are in the final stages of preparations there to open a campsite for tourists who enjoy camping and glamping. There will be a trial run this weekend, and the official launch will be announced later."
She said this when met during a Malaysia-China dinner event attended by more than 100 tourists from China at Ampang Look Out Point (ALOP) Summit on May 31.
Last November, Tourism Selangor signed an agreement between Tourism Selangor Promosi Sdn Bhd and The 1926 Camphouse Sdn Bhd for the upgrading and operational management project of Rumah Rehat Seri Berkat and the Bukit Fraser Public Field in Hulu Selangor.
The collaboration aims to enhance tourism facilities, strengthen the management of state assets, and give a new lease of life to Rumah Rehat Seri Berkat through various planned activities.
The strategic initiative is expected to improve visitor experience with more comfortable, attractive and efficient facilities, while further strengthening Bukit Fraser’s tourism appeal.
