KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has conveyed his congratulations and prayers to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, in conjunction with His Majesty’s official birthday celebration.
He said that, on behalf of the MADANI government and all Malaysians, he prayed for His Majesty, Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, the Queen of Malaysia, and the entire Royal Family to be blessed with good health, longevity, and the continued protection and blessings of Allah SWT.
“May His Majesty continue to reign with justice and wisdom, and uphold the highest office under the Federal Constitution in line with the role of the royal institution as the protector of Islam and a symbol of unity, harmony, and well-being of all races in this country.
“I, and the rakyat, will continue to express our unwavering loyalty to the constitutional monarchy. Long live Your Majesty,” he said in a Facebook post.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof also extended his congratulations to Sultan Ibrahim for the occassion.
He said that he, together with all Malaysians, prayed that His Majesty and the Royal Family would be granted continued good health and remain under the protection and blessings of Allah.
“May the King continue to reign with majesty, sovereignty and honour, guiding the nation and its people with wisdom, fairness, and prudence,” Fadillah said in a Facebook post.
His views were echoed by fellow Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who conveyed his highest congratulations and royal greetings to the King.
“My family and I humbly extend our deepest gratitude and pray that Your Majesty’s reign will always be blessed by Allah,” he said in a Facebook post.
Zahid prayed that His Majesty be granted enduring health and continue to reign with sovereignty and wisdom, guiding and protecting the people and the nation.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Johor Tunku Mahkota Ismail conveyed his greetings and prayers to His Majesty in conjunction with the official birthday celebration.
“Allah Peliharakan Sultan. Tuanku,” said His Highness in a brief message addressed to his father, which was shared on the HRH Crown Prince of Johor’s Facebook page.
This was followed by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, who extended his heartfelt congratulations and prayers to Sultan Ibrahim on the occasion.
“I humbly extend my highest greetings and congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, in conjunction with His Majesty’s official birthday celebration today.
“I, and the entire Bangsa Johor, offer our deepest respects. May Allah protect the Sultan and bless Johor,” he said in a Facebook post.
