KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecast significant weather conditions in western Sabah, the Federal Territory of Labuan and northern Sarawak following the convergence of strong westerly winds, expected from May 30 to June 1.
The conditions could result in strong winds and rough seas, as well as the formation of squall lines that are expected to bring wetter, windier conditions over the affected areas and waters.
“In this regard, MetMalaysia has issued a strong winds and rough seas warning for the South China Sea and the northern Straits of Melaka waters, effective until June 1,” it said in a statement today.
