KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong wind warning for the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, as well as 10 states, until 6pm this evening.
The severe weather is expected to hit all of Perlis, while in Kedah, it will affect Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu, as well as Seberang Perai Selatan in Penang.
In Perak, the affected areas are Kerian, Larut, Matang dan Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, and Kampar.
Meanwhile, in Kelantan, similar conditions are forecast for Jeli and Tanah Merah, while in Terengganu, they will cover Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman.
The same warning has also been issued for Pahang, affecting Cameron Highlands, Lipis and Kuantan, and for Selangor, covering Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Petaling.
Similar conditions are expected to hit several districts in Sarawak, including Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian, Samarahan, and Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi).
In Sabah, the forecast includes the Interior (Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan, and Tambunan), West Coast, Tawau (Tawau, Kunak, and Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, and Sandakan), and Kudat.
