SHAH ALAM, May 12: The Menteri Besar’s Office will provide food and beverages for participants attending the Himpunan Daulat Tuanku rally scheduled for Saturday (April 16).
State executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi said this was conveyed to him by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari’s political secretary Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad.
“I was also informed by the Political Secretary to the Menteri Besar, Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad, that the Menteri Besar’s Office will provide food and drinks for those attending,” he said in a statement today.
Najwan added that the state government welcomed the gathering's objective, describing it as consistent with Selangor’s long-standing position in defending Islam, Malay interests, and the sovereignty of the royal institution in the state.
He also hopes that the rally will take place peacefully and in an orderly manner, without disrupting public safety.
“I have contacted the Selangor police chief and requested the police to facilitate this gathering so that it can proceed safely and in a controlled manner,” Najwan said.
