SHAH ALAM, May 1 — Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari today spent some time visiting the family of the late Khairil Izani Khaizalullinordin, who was found drowned in Bandar Puncak Alam yesterday.
During the visit, Amirudin also presented contributions from the Social Welfare Department and Yayasan Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporation), MBI, to help ease the family’s burden.
“I was saddened upon receiving news of the passing of Khairil Izani, the drowning victim in Puncak Alam, who was found after several days of search and rescue operation.
“Last night, I visited his parents’ home together with the Kuala Selangor district officer and local leaders following this deeply tragic incident.
“I extended my condolences to the parents of the late child. The passing of a beloved child is a very painful test, and I can only pray that Allah grants the family strength to endure this trial,” he said in a Facebook post.
Yesterday, the media reported that a 10-year-old boy who went missing after falling into a drain in Lorong Cakera Purnama 12/27, Bandar Puncak Alam on Tuesday was found drowned, after three days of search efforts.
The victim, Khairil Izani, was found in a river near Sungai Buloh, Ijok, at about 1pm.
