KUALA LUMPUR, April 16 — Four men armed with two pistols made off with about 15kg of gold jewellery worth RM9.7 million in a robbery at a goldsmith shop along Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Brickfields, this morning.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said in the 11am incident, the suspects also made off with a shotgun belonging to the premises' security guard along with a bullet.
"Efforts to trace the suspects are ongoing," he said in a statement today.
The case is being investigated under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for gang and armed robbery.

Earlier, a three-minute video went viral on social media showing a suspect wearing a black helmet storming the premises carrying a sledgehammer and a firearm.
