MPAJ logs RM15m in surplus revenue, its best record

AMPANG JAYA, April 14 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) recorded surplus revenue of RM15 million last year, its highest record in its history, said MPAJ deputy president Hasrolnizam Shaari.

He added that the encouraging performance, where MPAJ earned RM185 million against its initial target of RM170 million, could continue for the next few years, based on current projections.

“According to forecasts, checks and research, we expect that this commitment (surplus revenue) can be kept up for a few more years.

“The excess earnings will be made use of to upgrade public facilities, repair infrastructure, and ramp up community programmes,” he said during the MPAJ excellent service awards ceremony last night at the MPAJ Convention Centre.

Also present was State Secretary Datuk Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin.

Meanwhile, Hasrolnizam said MPAJ is committed to improving service delivery quality, in line with residents’ current needs.

“We will keep working hard, especially in the current scenario amid the crisis that demands shared commitment on energy-related issues.

“MPAJ will also improve service quality requirements, especially in terms of cleanliness and other facilities that fulfil Ampang Jaya residents’ needs,” Hasrolnizam said.
