SHAH ALAM, April 3 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today urged Selangor civil servants to learn the true meaning and spirit of Madani to ensure the national principles are optimally applied at every level.
He said the Madani goal is to save the country and create new springboards that aren’t just focused on physicality, but also human development.
“If we want to live by them, we are confident in the things we do, it must start with trust and understanding. When we understand (the Madani principles), we will eventually believe in them and we can unite without there needing to be force, hostility or threats.
“Madani sounds enticing, but if we fail to understand it, we will drown in terminology without understanding the spirit of the word,” he said in his speech during the Selangor leg of the Madani Loyalty Tour at Dewan Raja Muda Musa in Section 7 here today.

In addition to over 2,000 state civil servants, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajudin were also present at the event.
During the event, Amirudin and Shamsul Azri launched the “I Love Malaysia Wave” initiative, which is an integrated approach to foster the people’s love for the country.
Meanwhile, Amirudin said state leaders received important updates during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday.
Amirudin added that the meeting covered food supply, gas stock, and the potential risks the country could face due to geopolitical crises in the West Asian region.
Yesterday, Anwar chaired a special meeting of state leaders to discuss the global energy crisis that has erupted from the West Asia conflict.
