SHAH ALAM, March 30 — The state government has reopened the application process for the Selangor Higher Education Study Grant, specifically for students born in the state, said Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said they will provide up to RM1,000 to help ease the costs of pursuing higher education.
"This assistance is exclusively for first-year students at universities recognised by the state government, covering programmes from Level Four Skills Certificates up to Bachelor’s Degrees," Amirudin said in a Facebook post today.
This year, the state government has allocated RM5 million, an increase from RM3 million the previous year, to help more students benefit.
"We hoped that this would help students continue their studies with peace of mind, InsyaAllah (God willing)," he said.
