SHAH ALAM, March 20 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has urged residents of the state to practise moderation in celebrating the festival of victory in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year.
In his special Aidilfitri message, he reminded them that moderation nurtures resilience while preparing both the mind and the self to face any challenge.
“At a time when the world is facing the challenges of war and threats to the economy, we must always hold on to moderation,” Amirudin said.
He added that true victory is achieved by controlling one’s desires, impulses, and inner self, while displaying good conduct; qualities that reflect genuine success for Muslims.
“It is this moderation that will lead us all towards victory one day. The actions we take today will have an impact and bring benefits to future generations, ensuring they continue to live with dignity,” Amirudin said.
The Menteri Besar also emphasised that the spirit of togetherness and unity among Selangor's residents must continue to be strengthened to ensure that society can face any external threats.
The strength of unity serves as an important safeguard for the well-being of the people and the stability of the state.
“Let us all continue the good deeds cultivated during the past holy month, such as caring for the poor, orphans, and the underprivileged,” he said.
