SHAH ALAM, March 20 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari visited personnel from six agencies, including frontline workers, yesterday as a gesture of appreciation for their commitment in working on the morning of Syawal.
Amirudin began the ‘Singgah Syawal’ programme at KDEB ICI Sdn Bhd before proceeding to the Kota Anggerik Fire and Rescue Station and Sungai Buloh Prison, where he distributed Aidilfitri treats, including lemang and rendang.
The visit also included the North Hammock Water Treatment Plant in Shah Alam, the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang, and the Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency at Port Klang.

“Most of them are on duty throughout the first week of Aidilfitri. They ensure the smooth running of several essential services, for example KDEB ICI, which manages solid waste and cleanliness.
“The Fire and Rescue Department is responsible for emergency incidents such as floods or fires, while the border agency safeguards the country’s entry points,” he said when met after visiting KDEB ICI Sdn Bhd tonight.
During his stop at the Kota Anggerik Fire and Rescue Station, Amirudin also visited the operations room and observed the work carried out by the security team.
He also took the opportunity to convey his appreciation and Hari Raya Aidilfitri greetings to all 38 fire and rescue stations across Selangor via the radio transmission system.
