KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 — Muslims in Malaysia will celebrate Aidilfitri on Saturday, Keeper of the Rulers’ Seal Tan Sri Syed Danial Syed Ahmad announced tonight.
“In fulfilment of the command of His Majesty (Sultan Ibrahim), King of Malaysia, and with the consent of the Rulers, I hereby declare that the date for Aidilfitri for all states in Malaysia has been set for tomorrow, Saturday, March 21,” he said.
The Aidilfitri date announcement was broadcast over local television and radio.
