Five charged over alleged immoral activities at Chow Kit health centre

KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 — Five individuals, including two directors of a health centre in Chow Kit, were charged in separate Magistrate’s Courts with various offences linked to alleged immoral activities at the premises.

The directors, Lee Leong Yaw, 59, and Pung Hiyun Hee, 70, and their employees Ong Seng Teck, 64; Mohd Fikri Mohd Razali, 44; and Muhammad Wafiy Dinie Azmi, 20, pleaded not guilty after the charges were read out before Magistrates S. Arunjothy, Noorelynna Hanim Abd Halim, and Ili Marisqa Khalizan.

Before Magistrate Arunjothy, Lee and Pung were jointly charged with allowing immoral activities to take place at their premises in addition to licensed business operations such as a sauna, jacuzzi, gymnasium and café.

The alleged offence took place at Jalan Ipoh Kecil at 8pm on November 28, 2025.

They were charged under the Trade, Business, and Industrial Licensing (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) By-Laws 2016, which provides for a maximum fine of RM2,000, imprisonment of up to one year, or both upon conviction, read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code.

In the same court, Ong was charged under Section 292(a) of the Penal Code for possessing a mobile phone containing obscene videos at the multipurpose hall of the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters at 11.15am on November 30, 2025.

Meanwhile, Fikri faced a similar charge before Magistrate Noorelynna for possessing obscene materials on his mobile phone at the same location and time.

Before Magistrate Marisqa, Wafiy was charged with committing an act of gross indecency by allegedly groping a 47-year-old man at the same premises in Chow Kit at 8pm on November 28, 2025.

The court granted bail of RM2,000 each to Lee and Pung, RM3,800 to Ong, RM4,000 to Fikri, and RM2,800 to Wafiy. The cases have been fixed for mention on April 24, May 18, and June 9.

The prosecution was conducted by Deputy Public Prosecutors Vivi’Asnita Zaina’Larifin, Iman Nurhidayah Ezani, and Syafika Azwa Fikri, while the accused were represented by lawyers Zaid Malek, Mahajoth Singh, Reenajit Kaur Golen, Raqib Osman, and Jeichandran Santhirasegaran.
