SHAH ALAM, March 12 — Thunderstorms, heavy rains, and strong winds are expected to affect all districts in Selangor until 9pm today.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has also issued the same warning for Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
Heavy rain is also forecast to affect Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Johor, as well as Sarawak and Sabah.
It said that a thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of heavy rainfall with an intensity exceeding 20mm per hour, which is expected to persist for more than one hour.
The warning is a short-term alert that is valid for a maximum of six hours for each issuance.
