SHAH ALAM, March 10 — The state government received a working visit from a delegation from Kazakhstan comprising representatives from the construction sector and Baiterek National Managing Holding to explore potential strategic cooperation with Selangor.
State executive councillor for investment, trade, and mobility Ng Sze Han said the discussion focused on opportunities for collaboration between Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI and strategic partners from Kazakhstan, particularly in water and waste management.
“Through the exchange of expertise, technology, and investment perspectives, we hope this cooperation can support the development of more efficient and sustainable urban infrastructure,” he said in a statement today.
Ng added that the collaboration opens opportunities to share expertise, technology, and investment insights to support urban infrastructure development in a more efficient and sustainable manner.
“This visit also reflects Selangor’s commitment to expanding its international cooperation network and building strategic partnerships that can bring innovation, strengthen industry capabilities, and deliver long-term value to the community,” he said.
Ng noted that the visit followed Selangor’s earlier mission to Kazakhstan to strengthen cooperative ties between the two parties.
