TEHRAN, March 9 — The Iranian Armed Forces have pledged loyalty to Mojtaba Khamenei, the nation’s new Supreme Leader, vowing to protect the country and its revolutionary achievements under his leadership.
Mehr News Agency reported that the Armed Forces General Staff and the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya emphasised their commitment to safeguarding Iran’s security and interests under the leadership of Mojtaba.
In a statement, they also extended condolences over the martyrdom of the leader of the Islamic Ummah Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and congratulated the Iranian nation on the selection of Mojtaba as the new Leader of the Islamic Revolution by the Assembly of Experts.
Addressing the “great, heroic, courageous, and insightful nation of Iran”, the Armed Forces General Staff and the Central Headquarters reaffirmed that the country’s Armed Forces — including commanders, soldiers, and the wider military community — have renewed their pledge to the ideals of the founders of the Islamic Revolution.
The Armed Forces have declared their allegiance to Mojtaba as a qualified Islamic jurist and leader, describing him as just, knowledgeable of the times, politically experienced, pious, and capable of leadership and management.
It stressed that, under Mojtaba's commands and directives as Leader and Commander-in-Chief, they will act with greater strength, determination, and revolutionary spirit to safeguard the achievements of the Islamic Revolution.
