KOTA KINABALU, March 1 — The number of flood victims in Sabah taking shelter at temporary relief centres (PPS) dropped to 1,462 people from 467 families as of 12pm today.
The Sabah State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said that the decrease was due to the closure of all PPS in the districts of Membakut and Tenom, with all evacuees allowed to return to their respective homes.
In the Beaufort district, the number of victims remained at 1,462 people from 467 families since this morning.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department has forecast rain in several interior areas of Sabah this afternoon and tonight.
