MBSJ warns restaurants, shops over illegal use of public space

SHAH ALAM, Feb 27 — The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MBSJ) continues to ensure compliance with the law through inspections and monitoring of business premises within a five-kilometre radius of its headquarters.

Operations conducted around Jalan SS 19 and Jalan USJ 2 involved checks on restaurants and convenience stores.

The inspections found some premises had placed obstacles such as chairs, tables, stalls and trolleys in public areas without authorisation.

Enforcement action was taken in accordance with local bylaws and the provisions under MBSJ’s jurisdiction.

MBSJ said operations will be intensified regularly to ensure ongoing compliance, thereby maintaining a safe, orderly and conducive business environment for all.
