SHAH ALAM, Feb 26 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has expressed his appreciation to seven youths who acted swiftly to rescue a mother and her two young children after their vehicle skidded and plunged into Tasik Biru in Kundang on Monday.
He said the brave action of the youths, who risked their own safety to save the victims, deserved praise and recognition.
“I was deeply moved when I read about the courage of the seven youths who immediately jumped into the lake to rescue a mother and her two young children involved in an accident in Kundang.
“Their decisive act of putting others’ lives first, even at the risk of their own safety, saved three lives,” he said in a Facebook post.

Anwar said their courage and sincerity reflected meaningful values of humanity and compassion.
At the same time, he prayed for the mother and her two children to recover swiftly and remain under God’s protection.
Yesterday, media reported that a mother and her two young children went through a terrifying ordeal when their vehicle skidded before plunging into Tasik Biru in Kundang.
However, the quick action of seven youths who were at the scene saved all three victims from drowning.
All the victims were rushed to Hospital Sungai Buloh for further treatment.
