SHAH ALAM, Feb 25 — Media Selangor Sdn Bhd continues to be a frontliner in centring the people’s issues via on-site visits with councillors and representatives, said Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) member Danish Hairudin during his visit to Media Selangor’s headquarters here today.
The councillor paid a courtesy call on Media Selangor chief executive officer Mohamed Fareed Mohamed Ashaaree to discuss the media’s role in strengthening communication of the people’s issues.
Danish said Media Selangor’s strength isn’t just in news, but in its courage to do real work and see the real problems voiced by the people.
“When the people bring up issues, Media Selangor visits them with councillors to see the real situation. This approach makes reports more accurate and helps expedite follow-up action,” he added.
Danish, who is also Parti Keadilan Rakyat Youth Wing information chief, said the “frontliner” role is important to ensure the people’s concerns reach the relevant quarters without misinterpretation.
“The media not only delivers the state government’s narrative, but brings the people’s voices directly from the field,” he said.
During his visit, he also greeted Media Selangor staff to show his gratitude for their continued commitment in helping voice the people’s issues.
Danish also distributed 140 boxes of kurma to Media Selangor as his personal initiative with Keadilan Youth, in an appreciative gesture to the media’s role.
