SHAH ALAM, Feb 19 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today distributed bubur lambuk at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque here, marking the first night of Ramadan.
Also present were Selangor Mufti Dato’ Anhar Opir and the mosque’s grand imam Dato’ Muhammad Farhan Wijaya.
The event, organised by the mosque, will see 1,300 containers of bubur lambuk handed out for free every day after Asar prayers until 25 Ramadan at the mosque compound.

Amirudin expressed hope that the event would lead to enriched blessings during the fasting month.
“For the government, of course we welcome this programme to enliven mosques and surau, as well as other activities during Ramadan.
“To the people, if you’re facing some hardship, you can attend breaking-fast events organised by the mosque and enjoy the bubur lambuk served here,” Amirudin said in a short speech at the event.
