KLANG, Feb 11 — Media Selangor Sdn Bhd today launched its Strategic Plan 2026, with a focus on empowering its employees’ welfare as part of its main organisational direction.
The plan was announced during Media Selangor’s townhall session, which served as a platform for the company to share its new visions, plans and targets with its employees.
Its chief executive officer Mohamed Fareed Mohamed Ashaaree said the townhall was aimed at boosting workers’ enthusiasm and motivation in facing the organisation’s new plans and targets.

“Improvements to terms of service and employee benefits were also implemented, involving maternity, paternity, umrah, haj and special pilgrimage leave, for non-Muslim staff.
“This is part of Media Selangor’s effort to create a more balanced work environment,” Fareed said when met after the townhall at Wyndham Acmar Hotel Klang today.
On increased maternity and paternity leave, Fareed said the initiative reflects Media Selangor’s commitment to give parents space to care for their children, and allow fathers to be actively involved in family development.

Fareed also said Media Selangor will be the Media, Publicity and Digital Committee chair for the Malaysia Games (SUKMA) 2026, and will act as the state government’s official media organisation.
He expressed hope that the company can shoulder the responsibility as best it can, with full support from all employees, to ensure the SUKMA 2026 mission is comprehensively and effectively executed.
Fareed also said he is confident that Media Selangor employees can bring the company further, not just as the state government’s official media platform, but also as among the nation’s main media firms in the long term.
