Dewan Rakyat passes motion of thanks for royal address

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10 — The Dewan Rakyat today passed the motion of thanks for the royal address after all ministries and the Prime Minister's Department completed their respective debates.

The motion was approved by a majority voice vote after debate began on January 20, followed by a winding-up session from the ministries on Wednesday (February 4).

Among the issues raised during the debate were the government's efforts to combat corruption more comprehensively, the implementation of flexible work policies, and the rollout of the National Education Blueprint 2026-2035.

On January 19, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, graced the opening of the First Meeting of the Fifth Session of the 15th Parliament.

According to the Dewan Rakyat calendar, the session will continue with the tabling of Bills and other government business.

The sitting continues tomorrow.
