KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim chaired the 148th Meeting of Menteris Besar and Chief Ministers at the Parliament today to strengthen the coordination of work processes between the Federal government and state administrations.
He said the meeting focused on efforts to deepen cooperation between the two levels of government, particularly in policy coordination and the implementation of more organised and effective joint development initiatives.
Anwar added that every development policy and initiative implemented must have a positive impact on people's lives.
“Emphasis was also placed on the welfare and well-being of the people, so that every decision and plan outlined can be translated into tangible benefits felt directly by the citizens, especially those in need,” he said in a Facebook post.
The periodic meeting serves as an important platform to coordinate issues of national interest and to solidify the cooperative relationship between the Federal and state governments.
