SHAH ALAM, Feb 6 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) is offering a free bulk waste collection service specifically for landed residential homes within its administrative area in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations.
Applications for the service are open from now until Monday (February 9), and the collection period will run until February 16.
Items accepted for collection include mattresses, sofas, cabinets, and other old furniture. However, it stressed that construction or renovation waste, electrical appliances, and recyclable materials are not included in this service.
To apply, residents must contact KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) via the hotline at 03-8081 4437 or WhatsApp at 011-3538 4437. It will contact applicants to confirm the collection date before the collection works are carried out.
Residents are advised to place their bulk waste at the front of their homes on the scheduled date to ensure smooth collection.
This initiative is an effort by MBSJ to encourage more organised waste management and to help residents clean their homes and surroundings ahead of the festive celebrations.
