Recycling factory in Chan Sow Lin damaged in fire

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 1 — A recycling factory along Jalan Emas 1, Chan Sow Lin, suffered 40 per cent damage in a fire last night.

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department's Operations Centre said 33 firefighters and nine engines from the Bandar Tun Razak, Pudu, and Hang Tuah fire and rescue stations rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 8.05pm.

In a statement today, it said fire at the 50 x 70 square foot factory was brought under control at 9.24pm before the operation ended completely at 12.08am. No victims were involved in the incident.
