KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 — The high-impact animation and digital creative sector has been identified as among the new focus areas in the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) agenda to drive national human capital development, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
He said this sector is an economic ecosystem capable of producing skilled talent, creating high-value job opportunities and elevating Malaysia’s image on the global stage.
“Earlier this afternoon, I received a briefing on a new initiative involving a national project related to TVET, designed to drive human capital development, particularly through a high-impact digital creative and animation industry approach.
“This approach, which links training, industry and the creation of intellectual property, should be explored seriously and in stages,” he said in a Facebook post.
Zahid said the TVET agenda will continue to be strengthened so it remains relevant to future industry needs, including the rapidly growing digital creative sector.
