SHAH ALAM, Jan 22 — KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd (KDEBWM) held an engagement session yesterday with the Selangor Road Transport Department (JPJ) and Immigration Department (JIM) to boost solid waste management in the state.

KDEBWM said the town hall involved more than 1,000 appointed subcontractors from across Selangor.

“This town hall gave space for JPJ and JIM to brief KDEBWM subcontractors and share about roads, commercial vehicle handling, foreign worker employment, and related matters,” it said in a Facebook post.

Also present at the session was KDEBWM managing director Datuk Ramli Mohd Tahir, Selangor JPJ director Azrin Borhan, and Selangor JIM assistant director Noorzulina Zulkifli.

According to KDEBWM, the engagement session was an important platform to strengthen multi-agency cooperation, especially in openly and effectively handling issues in the field.

It added that the event helped standardise understanding among the involved parties and empowered the working relationship between KDEBWM, JPJ and JIM.

“KDEBWM is committed to continuing this strategic cooperation to ensure the best quality of service for the people of Selangor,” the concessionaire said.
