Three charged with owning immigration, Myanmar Embassy stamps to forge documents

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 — Three Myanmar men pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court today to charges of owning the official Immigration Department and Myanmar Embassy stamps to forge documents.

Ko Ko Lay@Rafiq, 54; Kyaw Swar Lin, 30; and Aung Paing Oo, 22, are charged with owning the stamps to forge documents as stated under Section 467 of the Penal Code at a residential unit in Jalan Kepong at 9pm on November 20 last year.

The charges are submitted under Section 472 of the Penal Code and read together with Section 34 of the same code. The prosecution is being conducted by Deputy Public Prosecutor M. Saravanan, while the accused are represented by lawyer Ammanjeet Singh.

Judge Mazuliana Abdul Rashid set February 16 for case remention.
