JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 7 — The flood situation in Johor has fully recovered following the closure of the last temporary relief centre (PPS) in the Segamat district at 2pm today.
State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) chairman Datuk Asman Shah Abd Rahman said the relief centre at Dewan Masyarakat Kampung Batu Badak, which had been operating since last Sunday (December 28), was officially closed after all evacuees were allowed to return home.
As of this morning, the centre was housing 25 flood evacuees from eight families.
Previously, flooding in Johor, particularly in the Segamat district, had affected several areas, including Jementah, Buloh Kasap, Tenang, and Pemanis.
