SHAH ALAM, Jan 3 — Seven districts in Selangor — Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat and Sepang — are set to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms until 8pm today.
The Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued the same warning for Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as well as several districts in Perak, Pahang, Johor, Sarawak, Sabah, and Labuan.
According to MetMalaysia, a thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of heavy rain of intensities above 20mm an hour and forecast to last over an hour.
This warning is a short-term one that is valid for a maximum of six hours.
