AMPANG JAYA, Dec 27 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) is implementing several development projects, including the construction of a new access road to Kemensah, to improve connectivity in the area.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the project, which begins from Ukay Perdana, is expected to benefit several camps and training centres in Kemensah by providing smoother access.

“There is also an ongoing process of regularising premises, which has been carried out since 2013. MPAJ has completed a comprehensive study, and this will be followed by the granting of approvals, including land-related matters.

“In addition, we are also redeveloping two commercial centres that were damaged by fire several years ago, including the Madani Recreational Park (TRM). The Housing and Local Government Ministry has approved these projects for implementation next year,” he said.

Amirudin was speaking to the media after officiating the distribution of Back to School assistance to students in the Hulu Kelang state constituency today.

Earlier, the Gombak MP also inspected cost-of-living issues, engaged with the local community, and monitored the implementation of development projects in the area.

The visit began with a meet-and-greet session with traders and visitors at Pasar Tani Taman Melawati, including the distribution of 2026 calendars and breakfast at Mail Mee Rebus for about 20 minutes, which provided an avenue for two-way communication between the public and state leadership.

He then visited the 16th branch of Ehsan Mart in Taman Melawati to observe the community supermarket's operations, which offer daily necessities at affordable prices, in line with the state government’s efforts to ease the people’s cost-of-living burden.

During the visit, the Menteri Besar also used his Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (Sara) credit to purchase essential goods, which he then distributed to those in need.
