GOMBAK, Dec 26 — Concern for the people continues to be Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari’s priority, as he paid a visit to Gombak residents under the Ziarah Kasih programme today.
He said the visit gave him the opportunity to meet local residents, listen to community issues, and survey development projects in the area.
“As the year ends, I went to greet Gombak residents to hear their woes and present aid to needy families.
“I will also visit residents over the three days of Festival Darul Ehsan Berselawat on December 28, hoping to bring the state government and the people closer,” he added when met here today.

Previously, Amirudin performed Friday prayers with congregants at the Gombak Utara Mosque before visiting several residents including former Kampung Simpang Tiga village head Normanidah Omar.
During his visit, Amirudin presented aid to former Kampung Gombak Utara village head Tok Jamal, 77, who recently lost his child and whose wife was struck by misfortune.
Tok Jamal, whose real name is Jamaludin Muhyuddin, said he is grateful and touched for Amirudin’s concern for his family.
“I am so grateful that (he) came to help my family. My sixth child, who was disabled, passed away on December 23, while my wife has had health problems.
“His presence gave me much-needed moral support, and with his concern for the residents, I hope he remains Gombak MP,” Tok Jamal said.
