SHAH ALAM, Dec 18 — Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd (PNSB) is aiming to build 34,061 Rumah Idaman units by 2030, with 6,262 homes already completed, said PNSB chief executive officer Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim.
He said that among projects launched since 2022 are Idaman Abadi Kajang, Idaman Bandar Saujana Putra, Idaman Bukit Jelutong, and Idaman Qaseh in Sabak Bernam.
He explained that PNSB’s main goal is to provide affordable homes furnished with good facilities.
“We have a target of 34,061 units, and upcoming projects have been approved for development. For now, 11,704 units across 11 projects are under construction in the Petaling, Sepang, Kuala Selangor and Hulu Langat districts,” he told Media Selangor.

According to Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar, the Rumah Idaman projects are on track and none have been delayed, and some have been completed early.
In August, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari presented keys to homeowners of Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong — an affordable condominium project by PNSB.
The project, built on a 4.24ha site with a gross development value of RM304 million, offers 1,260 units of 1,000sqft (92.9sqm) homes.
Each unit came with basic fixings such as air-conditioners, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, televisions, water heaters, and two parking lots each, as well as shared facilities like a swimming pool, multipurpose hall, and three-tier security system.

Previously, Amirudin said the state government is strengthening the people’s housing agenda with various initiatives, including Rumah Idaman.
He added that the project offers quality homes at affordable prices that come with basic furniture as an added bonus for owners.
