Most of peninsula to face continuous rain until tomorrow

SHAH ALAM, Dec 17 — The Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for seven states and two federal territories in the peninsula until tomorrow. 

In an update, the agency said those are forecast to be affected are Pahang, Terengganu, Johor, Kelantan, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. 

It said continuous torrential rain at the danger level is expected across Pahang, affecting the districts of Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin. 

Constant heavy rain at the severe level is forecast in Terengganu (Dungun and Kemaman), Pahang (Jerantut, Maran and Bera), and Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Mersing and Kota Tinggi). 

Meanwhile, an alert-level continuous rain warning has been issues for Selangor, Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu and Marang), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong and Temerloh), and Johor (Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru).
