Selangor police bust Kajang drug storage facility, over RM10m in narcotics seized

SHAH ALAM, Dec 15 — The authorities have dismantled a drug storage and packaging facility in Kajang following an operation carried out by the Selangor Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) on Monday (December 8).

State police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said two local women and a foreign man, aged between 40 and 45, were arrested. They are believed to have acted as distributors and managers of the premises.

“Various types of drugs were seized, including ecstasy powder and pills, ketamine, methamphetamine, Erimin 5 pills, Yaba pills, cannabis, as well as liquid ecstasy, with an estimated total value of RM10.4 million.

“A Honda City vehicle and jewellery worth approximately RM52,600, believed to be earnings from drug trafficking activities, were also confiscated,” he said during a media conference today.

Shazeli added that preliminary investigations revealed the drugs were intended for distribution in Klang Valley, with the premises operating in a well-organised manner as a storage and repackaging centre before distribution.

“All suspects have been remanded for seven days to facilitate investigations, and the case is being probed under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said.

The police will continue to intensify enforcement operations to curb drug trafficking activities in Selangor.

“Members of the public are advised not to speculate or spread unverified information that could disrupt investigations. Firm action may be taken against those who disseminate false news,” Shazeli said.
