KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 — Heavy rain that hit the capital since 4pm caused incidents of waterlogging on roads and flash floods in several areas.
The bad weather also led to surface runoff and water pooling on roads, obstructing traffic, and stagnant water made it difficult for road users to move around in the affected areas.
The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) Kuala Lumpur Command and Control Centre (KLCCC) reported that waterlogging occurred at Jalan Loke Yew, Jalan Changkat Thambi Dollah and Jalan Yew.
Meanwhile, the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) said it received a call about a flash flood on Jalan Raja Chulan.
Social media posts also showed that several other areas were inundated, including in Desa Pandan, Taman Desa, Cheras, and Jalan Changkat Thambi Dollah.
