SHAH ALAM, Dec 12 — The Selangor Career Launchpad 2025 workshop, recently held at the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDC), served as an important platform to help residents of Selangor prepare for an increasingly competitive job market.
Executive councillor for human resources Papparaidu Veraman said today’s job market demands more than academic qualifications; it also requires soft skills, self-confidence, and adaptability to industry changes.
“The Selangor Career Launchpad programme is designed to provide a comprehensive support ecosystem, including job market analysis, career-guidance sessions, and more targeted job matching through MyFutureJobs.
“The state government’s commitment to empowering human capital is an ongoing effort to ensure residents have access to better, more stable, and sustainable employment opportunities,” he said.

He added that the state government will continue to provide various training platforms, skills enhancement programmes, and career support, including initiatives like this workshop, which form part of its broader commitment.
“My hope is that more Selangor residents will be able to step into better, more stable, and more meaningful employment. Each individual who secures a stable, well-paying job not only transforms their own life but also contributes to the state’s economy,” he said.
He also encouraged participants to make the most of the insights and guidance shared during the workshop.
“Do not hesitate to ask questions, exchange views, or seek career advice. This is an opportunity to strengthen your confidence and prepare yourself to enter a more professional and competitive workforce,” he added.
The programme was organised in collaboration with STDC, the Selangor State Economic Planning Unit (Upen), and the Social Security Organisation (Socso) as part of efforts to enhance career opportunities for youth and job seekers in Selangor.
It not only exposed participants to the latest career opportunities but also helped them prepare to enter the job market with greater confidence and competitiveness.
