Flood victims in Selangor continue to decline, only two PPS still open

SHAH ALAM, Dec 7 — The number of flood victims in Selangor housed at temporary relief centres (PPS) continues to drop, now standing at 91 people as of 9.30am today.

According to the Social Welfare Department's Disaster Information's latest report, all those affected, comprising 22 families, are currently accommodated at two PPS in two districts.

The centres include Dewan Serbaguna Komuniti Orang Asli Gombak, housing 51 flood victims, and the SRA Pasangan in Kuala Selangor, sheltering 40.

Yesterday, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in several states on the Peninsula, including Selangor (Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, and Sepang), and in Sarawak.
