KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 4 — Two brothers are feared drowned after falling and being swept away by the strong current while trying to retrieve a ball in a large drain at Lorong 1/3A, Taman Prima Saujana, Kajang this evening.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Division assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received an emergency call regarding the incident at 6.32pm involving the children, aged 12 and 14.
Following this, a machine from the Kajang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) with six personnel was moved to the location and arrived there at 6.39pm.
"Search and rescue work is being carried out in the main drain area by the teams involved," he said in a statement today.
