Shamsul Iskandar, Albert Tei to be charged tomorrow

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 3 — Former political secretary to the prime minister, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, and businessman Albert Tei will be charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court tomorrow, said Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Tan Sri Azam Baki.

He said investigations into both of the accused have been completed.

“Both men will face several charges under the MACC Act 2009. Another individual known as Sofia Rini Buyong will appear as a prosecution witness,” he told a press conference at the MACC headquarters here today, as reported by Sinar Harian.

Azam said Shamsul Iskandar and Tei will also face charges in the Shah Alam Sessions Court on Friday.
