SHAH ALAM, Dec 2 — The number of flood evacuees sheltering at temporary relief centres (PPS) across Selangor declined to 1,793 as at 10.30am today.
According to the Social Welfare Department’s (JKM) InfoBencana portal, the victims, comprising 509 families, are housed at 24 PPS statewide.
Kuala Selangor still counts the highest number of victims at 1,613 housed at 15 PPS, followed by Kuala Langat (105 people at four PPS), Sepang (42 people at three PPS), and Sabak Bernam (33 people at two PPS).
On Sunday, the Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said the weather has improved and there is no potential of continuous rain across several states, including Selangor, based on weather model analyses.
