SHAH ALAM, Dec 1 — Selangor’s flood evacuee count at temporary relief centres (PPS) declined to 2,521 as at 11.30am today.
According to the Social Welfare Department’s (JKM) InfoBencana portal, the disaster victims, comprising 699 families, are sheltering at 29 PPS in four districts.
Kuala Selangor still accounts for the most flood victims with 2,087 people, followed by Sepang with 246, Kuala Langat with 117, and Sabak Bernam with 71 evacuees.
Seventeen PPS are open in Kuala Selangor, with six in Kuala Langat, four in Sepang, and two in Sabak Bernam.
Yesterday, the Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said the weather has improved and there is no potential of continuous rain across several states, including Selangor, based on weather model analyses.
