BANGKOK, Nov 24 — Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul will make an official visit to Malaysia on Wednesday (November 26), to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The Thai Foreign Ministry said he is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to discuss ways to enhance Thailand-Malaysia cooperation further.
“Both Prime Ministers will meet to deepen cooperation, particularly in the development of border areas, border security, transport connectivity, trade and investment, tourism, food security, and future industries,” it said in a statement today.
The ministry added that the leaders will also discuss efforts to strengthen Asean's capacity to address global challenges, building on the outcomes of the 47th Asean Summit and Related Summits held last month in Kuala Lumpur.
Anutin was elected as Thailand’s 32nd Prime Minister in September, and made his first visit to Malaysia on October 25 to attend the summit.
