Four landslides, three fallen trees reported in KL today

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 24 — Four landslides and three fallen trees were reported in Kuala Lumpur after continuous heavy rain since yesterday.

The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Operations Centre said the three reports of fallen trees were at Jalan Ang Seng 4 in Brickfields at 9.24am, Jalan Langgak Golf in Taman U Thant at 11.10am, and Jalan Kiara 5 in Desa Kiaramas at 5.45pm.

The four landslides occurred at Block C, Pangsapuri Kos Rendah in Jalan Sepadu 6, Taman United at 11.02am; Jalan Maarof in Bangsar at 11.20am, Jalan Medang Tanduk in Bukit Bandaraya at 3.24pm, and the Sri Lempah Flats in Lorong Jugra-Jalan Klang Lama at 4.32pm.

"Firefighters were at all locations conducting observation and rescue work with the assistance of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) emergency units,” it said in a statement.

The department added that firefighters were still at the locations that require observation.
