KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — A 17-year-old boy allegedly slashed his father’s back and left arm with a knife in an incident at their home in Batu 4, Jalan Gombak at 6.10pm on Monday (November 17).
It is understood that the suspect became enraged after his father reprimanded him for not going to school.
Wangsa Maju police chief ACP Mohamad Lazim Ismail said police received a report of the incident at 6.42pm that day.
“The 47-year-old victim sustained injuries to his back and left arm caused by knife slashes. The incident is believed to have stemmed from a misunderstanding,” he said in a statement today.
The victim received treatment at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital, while the suspect has been arrested and remanded until tomorrow to assist investigations under Sections 324 and 506 of the Penal Code.
